On March 2, 2008 Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church in Copperton, Utah had its 50th Anniversary celebration.
The church building was actually built in 1949, but was a mission church as part of
Holy Rosary Church in Bingham Canyon. After that city was closed, Immaculate Conception
Church in Copperton became its own parish in 1958, and had its first Mass 50 years prior
to this celebration. The Bishop of Salt Lake, Bishop John C. Wester was the celebrant. A very
nice brunch was enjoyed at the Lion's Club afterwards.
